Responsabilidades:

  • Crear un ambiente divertido, atractivo y amistoso para todos los niños y sus familias.
  • Supervisar y guiar al personal del aula, incluyendo brindar orientación, apoyo y mentoría a los maestros asistentes y de apoyo.
  • Asegurar el funcionamiento diario eficiente del aula, incluyendo la planificación de horarios, solicitud y mantenimiento de suministros, manejo de transiciones y el mantenimiento de una cultura positiva en el aula.
  • Implementar completamente el currículo y los planes de lecciones de Tierra Encantada mediante el desarrollo de actividades diarias que cumplen los objetivos educativos.
  • Demostrar habilidades adecuadas de manejo del aula para fomentar un entorno de aprendizaje seguro y estructurado.
  • Evaluar las necesidades de desarrollo de cada niño de manera continua a través de observaciones.
  • Colaborar con maestros y líderes para prepararse para las conferencias entre padres y maestros.
  • Comunicarse con los padres para apoyar el desarrollo de sus hijos mediante la comunicación diaria y el mantenimiento de una conversación abierta.
  • Asegurar que el aula asignada esté bien mantenida, organizada y limpiada diariamente de acuerdo con los estandares de salud y seguridad.
  • Desarrollar y mantener buenas relaciones laborales con todos los compañeros de trabajo y fomentar un entorno de equipo colaborativo.
  • Asistir a todas las reuniones de personal, entrenamientos, capacitaciones requeridas, etc., y contribuir activamente al crecimiento y desarrollo del equipo.
  • Cumplir con los requisitos de capacitación necesarios y apoyar los objetivos del centro para lograr calificaciones de calidad y acreditación.
  • Otras tareas según se asignen de acuerdo con las necesidades del centro.

Calificaciones:

  • Debe ser bilingüe en espanol e ingles.
  • Debe tener 18 anos o mas.
  • CDA y/o título asociado o licenciatura en Educación Infantil o un campo relacionado, preferido.
  • Experiencia previa en un centro de cuidado infantil con licencia, preferida.
  • Capacidad para completar toda la capacitación requerida para la licencia al ser contratado.
  • Certificación en RCP/Primeros Auxilios o la capacidad de obtenerla dentro de los primeros 90 dias - los empleados son responsables de renovar y mantener una certificación válida y actual de RCP y primeros auxilios pediátricos en todo momento.
  • Habilidades fuertes de comunicación y capacidad para comunicarse de manera efectiva con familias y compañeros de trabajo.

Los candidatos calificados deberan tener la capacidad física para realizar las funciones esenciales del trabajo con o sin ajustes razonables.   • Create a fun, engaging, and welcoming environment for all children and families.
  • Oversee and manage the staff in the classroom, including providing guidance, support, and mentorship to assistant teachers and floats.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of the classroom, including planning schedules, requesting and maintaining supplies, managing transitions, and maintaining a positive classroom culture.
  • Implement Tierra Encantada's curriculum and lesson plans fully through the development of daily activities to support educational objectives.
  • Exhibit proper classroom management skills to foster a safe and structured learning environment.
  • Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis through observations.
  • Partner with teachers and leaders to prepare for parent-teacher conferences.
  • Partner with parents in supporting their child's growth by providing daily feedback and maintaining open communication.
  • Ensure the assigned classroom is well-maintained, organized, and cleaned daily in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all co-workers and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, training, etc., and actively contribute to the team's growth and development.
  • Fulfill required training requirements and support Center objectives in achieving Quality Ratings and accreditation.
  • Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the center.

Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in Spanish and English
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • CDA and/or Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a licensed childcare center preferred
  • Ability to complete all required licensing training upon hire
  • CPR/First Aid certified or the ability to become certified within 90 days - employees are responsible for renewing and maintaining a valid, current CPR and pediatric first aid certification at all times
  • Strong communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with families and co-workers
  • Must have respect for diversity and recognize that diversity makes our program better
  • Must have the ability to complete annual required training to ensure providing high-quality early education

Qualified candidates must have the physical ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations. This includes the ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time, to have unrestricted use of the upper and lower body, hearing and vision within normal ranges to be able to adequately ensure the children's safety, to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, to chase a fleeing child, to join children's play actively, and the ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, and climb stairs.Compensation & BenefitsThis non-exempt, at will position has an hourly rate of $16-22 per hour depending on qualifications, education, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parental leave, 12 paid holidays, 80 hours paid time off, 401(k) retirement plan with 3% employer match, and discounted childcare.
