In addition to roadway construction, the Construction Inspector will play a crucial role in utility coordination and construction for small private developments. This involves working closely with utility companies to ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and that the installation meets local regulations and standards. The inspector would also be responsible for coordinating submittals and requests for information, as well as ensuring compliance with Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) activities.
In larger development projects the Construction Inspector's expertise in utility coordination becomes even more critical. This includes reviewing and certifying monthly subcontractor invoices, preparing closeout packages in compliance with local requirements, and coordinating with utility companies to finalize services.
