Our client seeks to understand how they can improve employment and training services to better meet the needs of Veterans and military spouses. We will help our client with designing a Customer Experience (CX) program to better understand the "moments that matter" and pain points that Veterans and those providing employment services that Veterans face. This project will encompass conducting an environmental scan to understand the current state, facilitating interviews, conducting qualitative research, creating journey maps and personas.
Project RoleResponsible for : Set overall strategy for the projectLead and manage a team of 4-6 peopleAssist with service design and research efforts including leading or facilitating interviews, and focus groups, etc.Lead the creation of project-specific deliverables, managing team contributions, and providing overall quality controlAct as main client Point of Contact, managing relationships and reporting on status throughout the project to the Executive Sponsor and key stakeholdersDevelop implementation project plan and manage team toward completion of major milestonesCreate status reports for leadership outlining progress of project activities, monitoring and assessing project risks, and developing mitigation strategies in collaboration with Program ManagerWork in parallel with communications lead to coordinate stakeholder activities and plan implementationApproach every day with a 'we' mindset and willingness to collaborate with and learn from teammatesIndependently manage time to complete assigned tasks or entire lines of effort as part of the larger client engagementBe a strong critical thinker who sees the big picture while staying delivery-drivenConnect the big picture between project and client business / mission goals

Skills and RequirementsA Bachelor's degreeCurious, problem solving, and open-minded approach to workEight (8) or more years of relevant consulting experience and / or project management experience3 years of experience leading projects, preferably in Federal Government or other public-sector contextsThrive in a continuous Build-Measure-Learn cycleEngage with technology with comfort and ease (Power Point, Word, Excel, Teams, Monday, Slack, Mural, etc.)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to obtain a Public Trust security clearanceExperience leading a customer experience (CX) / service design projectProject Management Certification (e.g., Project Management Professional)Familiarity with the Department of Labor and Veteran employment
