About the Role - A Low Voltage Project Manager is responsible for for overseeing and managing low voltage electrical projects from conception to completion. This role requires strong technical knowledge, project coordination skills, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. Individuals in this role will be responsible for projects with designated clients from overseeing and verifying construction estimates, to complete knowledge of proposals and narratives developed in design, project execution and completion.

Key Measurables
The success of this role can be gauged by the following metrics:

  • Project revenues on a monthly and annual
  • Average project profitability on a monthly and annual
  • Create billings to be cash flow positive on all
  • Frequency of upper-level management intervention to address and resolve issues with other
  • Client feedback on project execution (both positive and negative)
  • Documented kickoff meetings on all
  • Consistent accuracy of budget sheets and monthly
  • Go to pre-bid walkthroughs for jobs assigned to you

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders including but not limited to clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project plans.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues or
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets established
  • Understand and clearly communicate scope of projects to all project
  • Review contract scope, recognize and negotiate changes in scope and price throughout
  • Coordinate with engineering (on design build projects) to produce designs that satisfy client

Education and/or Experience

College Education Desired. Minimum of five years of verifiable low voltage experience; Experience preparing and enforcing quality control programs in a similar role; Ability to read drawings/specifications.

Language/Interpersonal/Leadership Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to express opinions and ideas, both verbally and in writing, in a clear concise manner; Ability to listen; Keeps emotions under control; Demonstrates group presentation skills. Exhibits strong leadership qualities.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint. Use of Bluebeam/Accubid is desired.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day. Travel expectations for this role are a minimum of 25%.
