What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at Tiffin House Assisted Living and Memory?
I am looking for someone that is a hard worker and willing to learn the trades. This position will cover many tasks. I will teach you what ever you don't know how to do.
Here are a few things we will be doing:
Daily
- Look at the Needs Fixing boards in both facilities – First Thing in the Morning
- Sweep/Hose off the Front and Back Porches
- Ensure the Flowers on the Porches have been watered and weeded. If more flowers are needed tell Justin.
- Pick up Trash around Tiffin Campus including along the Road
- Replace any light bulbs that are out.
Weekly
- Check and ensure Vacuums are clean
- Check Both Washer Drain Filters
- Clean the Dryers
- Clean around the Dumpsters
- Sweep out the Garages and Storage Areas
- Pressure Wash the Side Walks and Drive Ways
- Pull Weeds in the Flower Beds, Yard and Drive Ways
- Trim Bushes
- Kill Fire Ants and Wasps as needed
Monthly
- Wash the Outside Tiffin House windows
- Clean the Trash Cans inside and out
- Clean the Outside Lights
- Clean the Inside Lights
- Clean AC Vents – Check AC Filters in the attic
- Shampoo the Main Living Area Carpets
- Paint the Hallways and Common Areas
- Scrub the Shower Tile
- Pressure Wash the Gutters
- Clean the Gutters
- Change all batteries in door locks
Special Projects
- Ask Justin if he has a project every morning

- Paint Rooms as directed unless you see scratches that need repair (fix those please) – Especially in the Common Areas
- Pick up Rock, Large Sticks and Trash on the Property
- Check HVAC Air filters monthly. Replace as needed.
= Hose off HVAC outside units monthly
- Grease and clean the Bobcats
- Check Golf Cart Water (Distilled Only)
- Paint fences
- Plant trees
Just be up for anything.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
