This Certified Nurse Assistant will be responsible for assisting with clinical and clerical duties on the nursing unit. The successful candidate will work closely with professional staff to deliver high-quality patient care, while maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all individuals.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents/patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as per their plan of care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring, and mobility.
* Respond promptly to patient call lights and ensure timely communication with healthcare staff.
* Protect patient rights by knocking before entering their room and properly draping them prior to procedures.
* Accurately document care provided to patients.
* Take vital signs and weights as ordered by healthcare professionals.
* Assist with the removal and participation of safety devices, such as side rails and footboards.
* Maintain bed alarms for residents with these devices included in their care plan.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Certified Nurse Aide certification
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Compassion and empathy when interacting with patients and families
