Job Description:
Reports directly to Company President.
As a Sourcing Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our purchasing team and product development team by identifying, sourcing, and managing suppliers for the production of boats. You will be responsible for auditing supplier pricing, ensuring cost efficiency, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to help us achieve the highest standards in quality, cost, and lead time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, negotiate, and secure competitive suppliers for materials, components, and services used in boat manufacturing.
- Conduct regular audits of suppliers and their pricing to ensure competitive and market-driven pricing.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure specifications are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Work closely with the purchasing team to manage pricing and procurement schedules.
- Prepare reports and documentation for management on sourcing performance, cost analysis, and supplier audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5 years) in sourcing, purchasing, or procurement, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of boat manufacturing processes and materials is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review and interpret pricing data, supplier contracts, and market trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
