Food Service Operations Manager

Job Description

Tiger Correctional Services is a leading provider of correctional services, seeking a highly skilled Kitchen Supervisor to oversee and administer food service operations. The successful candidate will ensure health and sanitation standards are met in compliance with company and jail policy, as well as federal, state, and local law.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Meal Preparation: Prepare meals in accordance with established recipes and menus.
2. Sanitation and Safety: Maintain sanitary and safe conditions and equipment to comply with federal and state standards.
3. Labor Oversight: Assign and oversee the work of facility-provided labor.
4. Inventories and Tracking: Conduct daily inventory and maintain tracking logs.
5. Stock Management: Responsible for kitchen stock levels and reorders.
6. Quality Checks: Perform quality checks as required.
7. Professional Relationships: Establish a professional work relationship with company employees, jail administration, and facility-provided labor while upholding our company values.
8. Security Procedures: Responsible for compliance and administration of all security procedures identified by the company and jail administration.

Requirements:

1. Cooking Skills: Excellent cooking skills.
2. Dependability: Dependable and able to meet deadlines.
3. Safety Policies: Adhere to Tiger Correctional safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation.
4. Communication Skills: Ability to work well with others and have good oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to read.
5. Computer Skills: Good computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets.
6. Physical Requirements: Physical requirements include standing 3-4 hours at a time and frequent lifting of 15 to 30 pounds.
7. Mathematical Abilities: Must have the ability to perform basic math of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
