Description
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for supporting Tiger's Accounts Receivable team and all of Tiger's valued customers. This position will be primarily engaged in reconciling customer accounts, resolving customer issues, and supporting Tiger Fuel Operations.
· Retrieve customer payments from PO box and processes payments through internal software, applying to appropriate customer accounts
· Perform customer account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and assist A/R Manager with customer account inquiries
· Answer customer questions related to billing and general account inquiries
· Prepare account reconciliations as requested to assist with subsidiary and related-party accounting
· Develop a working knowledge of accounting software and internal processes and procedures
· Assist with month-end close processes
· Assist management with identifying areas for improvement and operational excellence
· Promote the “Tiger Way” and our cycle of success by building high quality relationships with employees, customers, and outside vendors.
· Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
· Experience working in Accounts Receivable, or accounting functions is preferred, with preference given to experience in customer-facing functions
· Associate’s in Accounting or other Business degree, or equivalent experience, is preferred
· Cash handling experience is preferred
· Excellent customer service experience is required
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to customers and management
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel is preferred
· Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
