Tiger Fuel is searching for an energetic individual to join our Charlottesville operations team as Logistics Manager. In this role you’ll be exposed to fuel operations, finance, customer service, and contribute to the safe, profitable, and efficient distribution of around 9 million gallons of fuel and petroleum products. This role supervises a team of 12 to 14 drivers, including time approval, performance management, career development and full employment lifecycle management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Dispatch fuel trucks to appropriate locations based on customer orders and lead by example
· Serve as a liaison between customers and drivers ensuring effective detailed communication, while providing excellent customer service
· Manage the productivity and performance of a team of drivers, their equipment and deliveries
· Utilize specialized software programs to monitor and direct drivers and equipment, to access and enter financial information including inventory, and to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies
· Communicate daily with various operations team members to maximize efficiency and performance
· Perform timely administrative activities associated with the effective management of plant operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving data for daily reports
· Communicate with customers to provide accurate account and delivery information
· Continuously review driver productivity to eliminate unnecessary trips
· Support Customer Service Representatives with routine calls as needed and manage full complaint resolution
· Maintain and monitor compliance with operational and procedural standards
· Work closely with our Service, Finance, Customer service teams to ensure timely outcomes of needs are completed.
· Ensure safe practice policies are adhered to.
· Promote the “Tiger Way” and our cycle of success by building high quality relationships with employees, customers and outside vendors
Requirements
High school diploma, or equivalent with advanced Degree in business administration or logistics preferred (or similar experience equivalent)
· Displays an awesome, “Can-Do” attitude, passionate about providing “Tiger Way” customer service support
· Ability to work independently and as a part of a larger team
· Possesses outstanding communication skills – verbal and written
· Three plus years of supervisory experience preferably in the customer service industry
· An adaptive personality: you'll be working with a variety of customers, both residential and commercial as well as with our drivers, dispatchers and accounting departments
· High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
· Able to prioritize, delegate tasks, communicate effectively, problem solve and provide exceptional organizational skills.
· Some experience with accounting concepts and software programs
· Familiarity with Albemarle County and the surrounding areas
Salary : $64,000 - $66,000
