What You Will Do:
- Oversee HOA and Rental Accounting Functions: Manage day-to-day financial operations for both the resort and homeowner’s association.
- Budget and Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review monthly financial reports and budgets.
- Collaborate with CPA Firm: Work closely with our third-party CPA firm to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Accounts Receivable Oversight: Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Cash Flow Projections: Provide detailed cash flow forecasts for operational planning.
- Investment Monitoring: Track financial investment returns and report on performance.
- Account Reconciliation: Conduct monthly reconciliation of credit cards.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain adherence to financial regulations and internal policies.
- Financial Strategy Development: Assist in creating and implementing long-term financial strategies.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze financial and reservation data and provide actionable insights for leadership.
- Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in Accounting of experience as an accountant or high-level bookkeeper.
- Audit Expertise: Strong background in audit and financial overviews, with the ability to identify and address discrepancies is preferred.
- HOA & Rental Accounting: Prior experience with HOA and/or rental accounting is preferred.
- Non-Profit Accounting: Experience with non-profit accounting is a plus.
- Property Management accounting practices is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft 365 Suite, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail in financial reporting.
- Independence & Accountability: Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Financial Reporting Experience: Skilled in preparing and presenting financial reports to leadership teams.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial compliance and regulatory requirements.
