Distribution Center Associate
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inspection of covers to make sure they are sewn correctly.
- Packaging covers with correct pieces.
- Putting covers away in bins or boxing them up for orders.
- Putting away freight and helping putting away other items as needed.
- Pulling orders for customers and checking to see if they need add-on items such as seat back pockets or embroidery.
- Learning how to ship items as needed.
- Attend additional training as required after initial sixty (60) day training.
- Assist with the inventory process as required.
- Maintaining an organized, clean and safe environment, clear walkways, tidy work stations and making sure all fire exits and fire extinguishers are clear.
- Learning how to do embroidery if needed.
General Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently to ensure orders are being fulfilled accurately
- This position will be a Monday through Friday schedule.
- Great attention to detail
- Willingness to find and change the way things are done to be more efficient
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to follow directions
- Willingness to learn inventory control system
- Willingness to act quickly on requests and changes from the Planning and Procurement Manager
- Willingness to treat co-workers with dignity and respect
- Willingness to work overtime when required - including days longer than 8 hours and additional days.
- Stellar attendance and punctuality are essential
- Ability to meet and maintain required goals
Physical requirements:
- Regularly spend long hours standing and walking
- Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly
- Regularly work on repetitive tasks
- Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or control objects
- Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Regularly speak clearly so listeners can understand
- Regularly understand the speech of another person
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
