As an Entry-Level Staff Engineer , you will join our Water Team in our Troy, NY office, where you'll play a key role in delivering vital infrastructure projects across the Northeast. Our Water Team and Projects
Nearly 160 professional engineers strong and recent recipients ofmultiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards, our senior technical and project management leaders have earned an outstanding reputation with private, state, and local government clients. We provide planning, design, and construction phase services for the construction of new, or improvements to existingconveyance systems, treatment plants, pump stations, and other water infrastructure. We assist our clients withcapitalimprovement plans, hydraulic modeling services, and implementing asset management programswhile also undertaking study projects includingLong Term CSO Control Plans, Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plans, Integrated Water Resource Management Plans, and Sewer System Evaluation Studies.
What You'll Be Doing
- Performing civil, water, and / or wastewater engineering design tasks, including developing drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for bidding and construction.
- Observing construction on municipal infrastructure projects (sewer, storm drain, water, roads).
- Identifying contractor conformance with design drawings and specifications.
- Measuring installed quantities and reviewing shop drawings.
- Coordinating with city staff and residents and preparing daily reports
