Responsible for in-house management of all Engineering Planning and Design projects related to the rehabilitation and capital improvement of wastewater facilities and infrastructure. Provides engineering support for all Engineering Department activities, including :

- Expert technical guidance and oversight of multiple design teams working on a variety of wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment projects;
- Management of in-house design and construction projects, including research, development, permitting, and engineering calculations;
- Acting as a technical liaison to design and construction projects;
- Supporting start-up and commissioning of new / renovated facilities and overseeing all phases of technical projects;
- Preparing Requests for Qualifications and Proposals for planning and design projects;
- Reviewing Operations and Maintenance manuals to ensure instructions are in conformance with recognized engineering principles.
Minimum Qualifications :
Requires a 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and 4 years of experience performing duties equivalent to a Principal Environmental Engineer. Must possess a Professional Engineer license issued by the State of Rhode Island.
