Overview

Responsibilities

• Confers with supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Pull items from stock to requirements.
• Manages and controls frozen materials and manufactured kits, non-frozen time sensitive material and shop supplies.
• Communicates with Purchasing and Production Control functions on potential shortages and scheduling problems. 
• Ensures first in first out applies to all materials. 
• Ensures the accuracy and balance of the Freezer Log and on hand quantities in Epicor system. 
• Ensures accuracy of all Out Time Sheets. 
• Ensures all materials utilized are tested when required.
• Receives and store all related materials.
• Receives materials and kits into Epicor system. 
• Reviews kit jobs for accuracy, Work in Process Reports, issue kits to stock, close jobs, issue kits to required jobs,
• Performs regular Cycle Counts of inventory for Freezer Warehouse and Lay-up consumables.
• Compares identifying information counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing material to verify information against records. Attention to detail is critical to the processing of Alpha/Numeric information in order to maintain material lifecycle tracking.
• Works with Quality to maintain accuracy of records.
• Coordinates Transfer requirements with Suppliers.
• Organize storage area.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles changes, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure, meets attendance/punctuality requirements.
• Should have knowledge of Epicor software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software is required. 

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED; or 2 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Required: Minimum 1 years’ experience handling Aerospace grade material. Forklift License Preferred: Experience with Epicor or related MRP systems.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Not required for this position.
