Position Summary:
Tigua Inc. is seeking an experienced Test Lead to support our contract with the Weapons Survivability Laboratory (WSL) and will be responsible for performing and overseeing test assignments that require adaptability and technical judgment in support of the WSL contract. This role involves constructing and modifying components, conducting tests and experiments, troubleshooting malfunctions, and compiling engineering data. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities:
- Construct components, subunits, or models, and adapt standard equipment for testing purposes.
- Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions in test setups and equipment.
- Follow specific layouts and scientific diagrams to assemble and package devices and subunits.
- Conduct various tests or experiments, making minor modifications to setups or procedures as needed.
- Select, prepare, and operate standard test equipment while recording and analyzing test data.
- Extract and compile engineering data from field notes, manuals, and lab reports.
- Identify errors or inconsistencies in data and select appropriate methods for data presentation.
- Assist in design modifications by compiling relevant data on specifications, materials, and previous operational failures.
- Use judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies in data and seek additional sources to clarify information.
- Ensure compliance with testing protocols, safety standards, and engineering guidelines.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- A Bachelor's degree within at least one of the following subjects: Electrical/Electronic engineer, Computer Engineer, Computer Science, Mechanical engineer, Physicist, or Systems Engineer. An *Associate’s degree plus 6 years’ additional work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in test engineering, systems testing, or related technical roles.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and engineering documents.
- Ability to conduct and modify tests based on project requirements.
- Strong analytical skills for data processing and error identification.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with test equipment.
- Knowledge of materials, specifications, and design modifications.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
