KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the design and development of Employee Benefit programs and provide recommendations to support new and modified programs. Execute open enrollment by working with HRIS team to prepare, test and audit enrollment system and teammate elections. Focus is on long-term operational planning and performance. Effectively manage staff to ensure environment that fosters collaboration and growth to team members and service as subject matter expert for all benefit related issues. Sets the teams direction and communicates individual and team priorities. Makes leadership decisions within established policies and procedures with senior leaders on highly complex and sensitive benefit related issues. Define, document, develop, implement and modify internal benefit processes, standard procedures and practices and implement strategies to deliver the perfect teammate experience. Lead other team members on activities, set objectives and develop and achieve department goals. Ensure high levels of the teammate experience are met and teammate inquiries and concerns are resolved timely and efficiently. Ensures that controls are in place, monitored, documented and reported to avoid risks to the plans. Manage administration for full scope of benefits plans (medical, dental, RX, vision, life insurance, spending accounts, disability, voluntary benefit, qualified and non-qualified benefit plans) to ensure company compliance with provisions of ERISA and other plan and regulatory requirements. Lead effort to build out and enhance new work streams geared toward operational efficiencies and automation of deliverables while reducing potential risks. Analyze information to identify root causes and propose innovative, realistic and practical solutions. Identify trends and proactively implement solutions risks. Collaborate with the HRIS to identify system problems, resolutions and system enhancements. Provide coordination of and support on legal and regulatory compliance issues, helping managers to understand the regulatory risks involved in noncompliance. This includes issues such as Employee Retirement Income Security Act, (ERISA), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountable Act (HIPAA) and interpretation of plans and policies. Participates as active Benefits Plan Committee secretary. Oversee Leave Administration program. Act as Service Manager for Benefits-related vendors. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree 6 years of experience (Preferred) CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (Preferred) PHR / SPHR (Preferred) FUNCTIONAL SKILLS Workday experience preferred Demonstrated leadership Confidence presenting, facilitating, and training Analytical problem solver Strong communication skills effective for all audiences Ability to influence across all levels of the organization Highly proficient and skilled in MS Office Products including Excel Exceptional judgment and decision making skills Great time management General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of TIH Insurance : All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of TIH Insurance offering the position.
