- Underwrite new and renewal business.
- Meet or exceed production goals as assigned by TAPCO.
- Make approvals and disapprovals of endorsement quote requests according to internal and Company guidelines.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients.
- Market TAPCO products and services to clients.
- Instruct support staff on the handling of cancellation and non-renewal notices according company requirements.
- Review inspection reports and compare to the conditions that were represented to us at the time of quoting and binding and take appropriate or needed actions
- Maintain necessary licenses to produce business.
Required Qualifications:

- Licensed in corresponding areas of insurance or willing to obtain appropriate licensures upon hire
- Ability to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policies
- Ability to understand the client's needs and have knowledge of the risk profiles associated
- Ability to recognize new trends and developments in the insurance industry and be able to incorporate into strategies
- Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
- Ability to use company automation to include Windows, Word, Excel, TAPSYS
- Ability to develop, foster, and maintain an excellent working relationship with agencies
- Ability to exercise discretion in making decisions
- Leadership and team playing skills
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry
- Good written and verbal skills
- Good telephone communication skills and phone etiquette
- Ability to maintain travel schedule depending on the needs of the company
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary
- Bachelor's degree or appropriate insurance designation
- Three years of experience in production and marketing of new accounts
