Reporting directly to the CEO, this role leads a talented marketing team and oversees everything from brand strategy and digital campaigns to local store marketing and major events. This position is an in-office position, based out of the Maitland, FL Tijuana Flats Support Center.
Position Responsibilities:
Planning and Execution
- Partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership to develop and execute short- and long-term marketing strategies aligned with the brand’s vision and growth goals.
- Oversee and improve effectiveness of all marketing channels, with a focus on growing profitable top line revenue growth by enhancing, innovating, and measuring all marketing initiatives.
- Regularly communicate with corporate and operations teams to ensure integration and efficient execution of all marketing programs.
Brand Awareness
- Maintain consistent brand image across all channels; Work closely with all operational levels to maintain compliance of promotional and brand standards.
- Serve as marketing liaison between Tijuana Flats and all Operations Leaders and franchise partners.
- Manage Tijuana Flats’ online presence; including the web site, digital advertising, the Flatheads loyalty programs, search engine optimization, and social media activities.
- Partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership to develop and execute short- and long-term marketing strategies aligned with the brand’s vision and growth goals.
- Working with internal and external sources, design and creative for brand.
Sales Building and Advertising
- Develop effective programs to increase sales and profits aligned with strategic company goals.
- Plan/manage execution of all marketing tactics, including advertising, promotions, PR, social media and local store marketing.
- Manage and evaluate performance of external marketing agencies and vendors, ensuring ROI and strategic alignment.
- Oversee design of menu and other in-store collateral materials.
Budgets, reporting and administration
- Create and implement brand and ad fund budget designed to meet all targets and goals..
- Manage and evaluate performance of external marketing agencies and vendors, ensuring ROI and strategic alignment.
- Manage and communicate the reporting of all financial information pertaining to marketing dollars for company and franchise operations.
- Oversee planning and execution of annual GM conference for company.
People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
- Set clear goals and provide ongoing feedback to support professional growth.
- Identify and address skill gaps, ensuring the team has the tools, training, and support to succeed.

Leadership Responsibility:
- The Director of Brand Marketing is responsible for the leadership and management of the Marketing Department inclusive of Brand Marketing, Culinary & Menu Design, Digital Marketing, and Field Marketing.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field AND 7-12 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing advertising, promotions, social media platforms, paid digital, and agency relationships initiatives required.
- Basic understanding of/or experience working in a restaurant/hospitality corporate support center.
- Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Planning: Ability to think ahead and plan over a one to two-year period
- Management: Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Keen knowledge of marketing strategies, financial reporting, tools and tactics.
- Understanding of business and management principles involved in planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and leadership of others.
- Strong organizational skills to assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
