Join us.The ML Platform team handles machine learning activities within the BRIC department, with two main areas of focus : 1. ML Infrastructure : Encompasses model training, serving, and management.2. LLM Applications : Utilizes both third-party LLM services and self-hosted open-source models to support various application scenarios in BRIC.As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will : - Build machine learning solutions to respond to and mitigate business risks in TikTok products / platforms. Such risks include and are not limited to abusive accounts, fake engagements, spammy redirection, scraping, fraud, etc.- Build modeling infrastructures, LLM applications, labels, features and algorithms towards robustness, automation and generalization, reduce modeling and operational load on risk adversaries and new product / risk ramping-ups.- Uplevel risk machine learning excellence on privacy / compliance, interpretability, risk perception and analysis.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications : - Bachelor or degrees above in Computer Science, in computer science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant, machine-learning-heavy majors.- Solid coding skills and ability to build large scale systems. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Golang, Java, C , Rust; can quickly pick up others.Preferred Qualifications : - 3 years of industry experience in a software development environment. - Familiarity with machine learning infrastructure, LLM applications, or social / content platform realtime stream computing systems.- Strong machine learning background. Proficiency or publications in modern machine learning theories and applications such as deep learning, transfer / multi-task learning, reinforcement learning, time series or graph algorithms.- Ability to think critically, objectively, rationally. Reason and communicate in result-oriented, data-driven manner.
