About the team
TikTok UX team is responsible for the product design of the TikTok app. Our key vertical ownership areas include Core app Product Infrastructure, Social, Creation, and Design Systems. Providing professional design methods and practices, the team helps improve user experience and working efficiency of these products and areas.
Responsibilities
- Account Module Product Design: Responsible for optimizing the user experience flow of login and registration, as well as enhancing account security for users.
- Main Framework Product Design: Demonstrates robust framework thinking and logical reasoning capabilities.
- Participate in defining the interaction framework and guidelines for pivotal main framework modules, such as the - For You Feed (video player) and the Following Feed related features, to provide users with an enhanced video consumption experience and ensure better alignment with growth needs from other business verticals.
- Strong Execution: Lead key projects and make decisions independently, demonstrating excellent UI visual design skills.
- User-Centric Design: Deeply engage with and use the product to understand the business. Self-driven to discover user needs through data analysis and user research, translating these insights into actionable design solutions and ensuring their implementation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with UX and UI design, has led multiple design projects from strategy to launch, strong attention to detail.
- Ability to rapidly iterate and produce a multitude of concepts.
- Open-minded, welcome all feedback and be patient.
- Entrepreneurial attitude, ability to deal with rapid changes and situations that are not ideal.
- Great communication skills, ability to articulate your concepts, vision and decision-making.
- A global vision and mentality actively pays attention to global internet products.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years designing UX for consumer-facing mobile products, preferably content creation or consumption related.
- Experience with A/B testing and data driven practice.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across the org.
- Experience with front-end programming.
- Fluency in English, Mandarin is a plus.
- A passion and enthusiasm for TikTok and its community!

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $137000 - $286000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
The Company reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice.
