Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Planner to take full ownership of our inventory management and planning processes. This role will be responsible for ensuring optimal product availability across our eCommerce and wholesale platforms by forecasting demand, managing stock levels, and collaborating with internal teams and suppliers. The ideal candidate will bring a high-growth mindset, critical thinking skills, deep expertise in eCommerce inventory planning, and a commitment to driving operational excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to impact the business directly while supporting a meaningful cause. You will be instrumental in forecasting demand, optimizing inventory strategies, and contributing to the scalability of our operations. The SOP testing and development aspect of the role will be key to refining our inventory processes as we grow.

Requirements : Key Responsibilities : Demand Forecasting & Inventory Planning :

Analyze historical sales trends, market data, promotions, and customer behavior to accurately predict future demand for each product SKU.
Develop replenishment plans based on accurate forecasts, setting optimal reorder points, and determining order quantities to maintain desired stock levels.
Ensure alignment of inventory strategies with sales goals, promotions, seasonal fluctuations, and new product launches.

Vendor & Supplier Management :

Collaborate with suppliers and third-party vendors to negotiate lead times, manage purchase orders, and ensure a smooth inventory flow.

Develop and manage relationships with external partners to ensure timely deliveries and inventory accuracy.

Oversee inventory flow from suppliers to warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient replenishment cycles.

Automate processes to ensure seamless workflows for internal and external operations.

Sales & Marketing Collaboration :

Partner closely with sales, marketing, and wholesale teams to align inventory levels with upcoming promotions, events, and product launches.

Work cross-functionally to anticipate inventory needs, manage overstocks, and ensure optimal product availability during high-demand periods.

Data Analysis & Reporting :

Use data from eCommerce platforms and inventory management systems to identify sales patterns, slow-moving inventory, and potential inventory risks.

Regularly generate reports on inventory performance metrics, such as sell-through rates, stock levels, and inventory turnover, to inform decision-making.

Utilize data analytics tools to make data-driven decisions about inventory management, replenishment, and forecasting.

Creating SKU rationalization reports to determine proper product class and what should be phased out of our selection

Inventory Optimization & System Management :

Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory, optimize warehouse space, and manage obsolete stock.

Work to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency in the warehouse through better space utilization and inventory practices.

Proficiently use inventory management systems (such as ShipHero or similar) to track stock levels, generate automated purchase orders, and monitor inventory performance.

SOP Testing & Development :

Own the development, testing, and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory planning.

Continuously identify areas for process improvement, helping to build scalable and repeatable best practices for inventory management.

Ensure inventory management processes are aligned with the growth trajectory of the business.

Collaboration & Multi-Tasking :

Work effectively with multiple internal teams (eCommerce, wholesales, operations, finance, customer service, marketing) to align inventory goals with broader company objectives.

Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ensuring all deadlines and objectives are met.

Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on inventory needs, product availability, and order fulfillment.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

5 years of experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain management, preferably in an eCommerce environment.

Strong experience with inventory management systems (ShipHero experience is a significant plus).

Proven ability to analyze data, forecast demand, and translate that information into actionable and accurate strategies.

Experience working with third-party providers, suppliers, and vendors to ensure efficient product flow.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, SQL, and / or other data analysis tools.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and a solid understanding of online sales trends and inventory dynamics.

High-growth mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and the ability to adapt quickly in a scaling business.

Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics is a plus.
