Position Summary
We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Memorial Designer to work as a member of our Fallen Hero Team (FHT), honoring Fallen Heroes by creating Memorial Plaques and Memorial Bands.
This is not your typical design position; as a member of the Fallen Hero Team, you will collaborate to honor fallen heroes to ensure their legacies never fade. The Memorial Designer's responsibilities are maintaining a premium user experience during the process of Honoring Fallen Heroes. As a Memorial Designer with TVP, you are responsible for creating production-ready templates for Fallen Hero Memorial Plaques and Bands, web-ready designs (WRD), design print and email templates, and completing family and wall of hero (WOH) letters.
To ensure success as a memorial designer, you will be organized, resourceful, and have a natural eye for detail. A skilled memorial designer with graphic design experience and artistic flair can create visually striking designs for various print and digital mediums.

Key Responsibilities :
Own the design responsibilities within the Fallen Hero departmentDesign production-ready templates in Adobe Illustrator for Fallen Hero memorial plaques and memorial bandsCreate Web Ready Designs in Adobe Photoshop for fallen heroes, hosted bandsBuild hosted band products within the TVP Shopify storeDesign Covers for monthly physical newslettersCreate template layouts for weekly emailed newslettersPrepare family and wall of hero letters in Google DocumentsCreate user-friendly applications to maintain a premium user experienceMeet deadlines while maintaining quality that exceeds high-quality standardsAid other departments during lulls in your dayCross-train or relocate to different positions or departments as neededOther duties as assignedRequirements
A college degree or equivalent experience is required; advanced education is a plus.1-2 years of working experience as a print designer, layout designer, or graphic designerAdvanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)Demonstrable experience in Microsoft Office and Google Office applicationsCreativity, Resourcefulness, Flexibility, and MotivationExhibit excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailSuperior time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesFamiliarity with preparing files for print, including color modes (CMYK vs. RGB), bleeds, and resolution requirements.Strong understanding of typography, including font pairing, kerning, and legibility for both print and digital media.Ability to organize and maintain an efficient file management system for easy collaboration and future access.Experience creating social media graphics or digital banners to support marketing efforts.Knowledge of accessibility best practices for digital designs, such as color contrast and screen reader-friendly layoutsPreferred - Veteran / LEO / First Responder backgroundPreferred - In-depth knowledge of Military / LEO / First Responder Ranks and abbreviationsRequires the ability to :
