Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, ambitious, and self-motivated Laser Engraving Operator with a military, first responder, or law enforcement background. The ideal candidate is directly responsible for using Adobe Illustrator to timely and accurately create custom templates and operate class 4 laser engraving machines to engrave templated designs on various products and materials.

- Manage customer orders in the queue based on age and priority status.
- Identify overdue or potentially overdue work orders and prioritize accordingly.
- Read and understand customer orders, ensuring orders meet character count and image specifications.
- Proof customer custom orders for spelling errors or missing information
- Set up orders utilizing standard PC equipment with the addition of ezCAD and RD Works.
- Create custom design templates based on customer specifications utilizing Illustrator.
- Vector custom images utilizing Illustrator and/or Photoshop
- Operate and maintain one or more class 4 laser engraving machines per the standard operating procedure.
- Analyze and set up equipment based on product and order specifics, following brand standards for consistency, accuracy, and quality.
- Meet productivity requirements and deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality that exceeds high-quality standards
- Perform inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products.
- Administer end-of-day maintenance on equipment
- Adhere to good warehousing practices and safety standards
- Aid other departments during lulls in your day.
- Cross-train or relocate to other positions or departments as needed.
- Required - Veteran/LEO/First Responder background
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of proven experience working in Adobe Illustrator
- Experience working in Photoshop is a plus.
- Computer savvy with the ability to efficiently navigate multiple computer software programs simultaneously
- 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly, Laser Engraving, CNC Machine Operator, or Graphic Design preferred
- Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics.
- Strong analytical, comprehension, and computer skills
- Maintain clear and honest communication at all times.
- Able to follow instructions, use independent judgment, sound reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Resiliency: respond well to constructive feedback
- Adhere to time & attendance policies, procedures, & work area schedule
- Must be able to traverse the production facility
- Tolerate hot and cold warehouse environments and varying noise levels
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks for the duration of the shift
- Perform inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products
- Frequently required to sit, climb (stairs), walk, stand, bend, stoop
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms
- Regularly required to read, compose written correspondence, hear, and communicate verbally
- Regularly lift and move objects 10-60lbs, occasionally lift and move items that weigh more than 80 lbs
