JOB TITLE: Material Handler/Forklift Operator

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor

SUMMARY:

Tillamook Country Smoker, a coastal manufacturer of jerky and meat snack products sold worldwide. We are seeking a candidate with a stable work history, a desire to work in a team environment, and has a positive attitude,

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Operate stand up electric forklift

· Complete forklift inspections before each shift

. Unload trucks and store materials in proper bin locations

· Stage and transport raw materials to production workstations

· Identify damaged materials and report shortages

· Work with the inventory team and assist with cycle counts as needed

· Communicate between warehouse, production and inventory teams throughout the day

· General support of production

· Oversee and manage material warehouse with little direction

. Ability to assist with physical inventory on Saturdays at the end of the month

· Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and a safe effective work environment

· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

· Must have prior experience with stand-up forklift

· RF scanners experience is a plus

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

· Order picking experience

· Demonstrate strong listening skills and the ability to follow direction

· Physically lift up to 70 lbs

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work in a production environment with constant exposure to loud machinery

· Ability to work well under pressure

Job Duties:

  • Load and unload trucks
  • Move and stack materials
  • Keep production lines supplied with empty containers and packaging materials as needed
  • Rotate floor stock
  • Follow current good warehousing practice
  • Use common warehouse management software
  • Perform proper forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures
