What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Improvement Coordinator position at Tillamook Family Counseling Center?
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director, the Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing continuous quality improvement activities within the agency to attain and ensure high quality client care. This includes the collection, management and analysis of quality data and the preparation of quality reports. Additionally, the Quality Improvement Coordinator provides strategic in-service training to key community stakeholders in the areas of behavioral health education and promotion. This position could be a hybrid position.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides direction and support to the Quality Improvement Committee.
- Facilitates quarterly QI Committee meetings and develops agenda; assures that records of the activities and decisions of the QIC meetings are made.
- Assists in the development of an annual quality improvement work plan for the agency. Will conduct a minimum number of chart audits quarterly and provide findings to clinical directors and appropriate supervisors. Charts to be randomly selected by TFCC Data Management.
- Monitors annual QI work plan; compiles and analyzes data related to the activities/goals/objectives of the plan
- Works with the QIC and Clinical Director to identify appropriate outcome instruments and measures.
- Conduct satisfaction surveys and focus groups as needed to address quality plan issues/concerns/trends.
- Works with the Executive Director to develop a minimum of two (2) reports annually of agency quality improvement activities that are presented to the Board of Directors.
- Become familiar with emerging state, regional, and federal QI trends and activities.
- Collect and record critical incidents and client grievances. Bring them to the QIC for discussion.
Required Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in a social service, clinical psychology, counseling, healthcare, or related field AND three (3) years of experience in the behavioral health, social services or healthcare field.
- Bachelor's degree in social services, clinical psychology, counseling, healthcare, or related field AND five (5) years of experience in the behavioral health, social services, or healthcare field.
- Licensed professional preferred, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, QMHP
- Experience with data collection and reporting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with behavioral health research and research methods
- Attention to detail, task oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Skilled at deciphering and presenting data
- Works well individually or in a team setting
- Understanding of OAR’s and ORS.
- Understanding in Compliance and/or Quality Improvement
