Tillers Preschool is a high quality Christian Preschool and Kindergarten under the ministry of Revive City Church on the Westside of Cincinnati. Our program serves children ages 2.5 through 7 years old. Our teachers work in smaller ratio, beautiful, high-quality classrooms.

Overview of the Assistant Teacher role The 8:30a-1:30p shift will support lead teachers in implementing classroom lesson plans using the Experience Early Learning and Experience God curriculum- which provides all daily lessons and materials. Occasionally help lead teachers stay connected with parents through the Brightwheel App, and provide care and learning for each child, based on what each child needs to succeed. The 1:30p-5:30p shift will help lead teachers with quiet time, parent pick up, manage after-care program- implementing activities with children, taking them to play outside, ensuring children are ready to go home, and greeting families as they pick up their children.
Here’s a bit more about what you’ll do:
- Support Lead Teacher in managing a classroom of children including a daily schedule, snack and meal times, group activities, one on one time with each child and transition times that encourages a child’s learning through discovery, curiosity, creativity, and a healthy self-concept that leads to school readiness.
- Develop and maintain trusting relationships with families in support of their child’s development. Support lead teacher in working with families in setting developmental goals for their child.
- Depending on hours, manage after-care program: helping children with activities, taking them outside, greeting families during pick-up.

- Minimum of a high school diploma, GED
- CDA or in process of obtaining a degree
- Prior experience working with young children and the ability to manage classroom through positive redirection, problem solving, setting appropriate limits, and active listening.
Physical demands:The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the Assistant teacher is regularly required to be outside, sit, stand, walk, bend and lift objects of up to 20 pounds. Assistant teacher will need to be able to take daily walks, lift cots, pick up students who need diaper changes, help set up and clean up events, etc.
