Job Summary
As a Junior Buyer at Tilley Distribution, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of inventory. Responsibilities will include coordinating with various teams and maintaining / developing strong relationships with suppliers. Essential Functions / General Accountabilities
Maintain sufficient inventory levels of prescribed product lines to meet customer demands within the F&F US division
Utilizing the company’s SIOP system to forecast demand whilst taking cues from the sales team to plan for expected demand.
Maintaining SIOP with updated information related to lead time, safety stock and forecast style (i.e. 3-month average vs 6-month average)
Negotiating with vendors, both domestically and abroad, to meet inventory demands
Purchase products in line with regulatory and legal requirements.
Reporting activity through the Director of Global Procurement – F&F.
Participating in supplier calls / meetings which relate to defined product lines.
Assisting with covering Purchasing Assistant tasks if they are out of the office including raising of PO’s, updating dates within the ERP.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or other relevant field.
Minimum of 3 years experience within a procurement / inventory management setting.
Strong understanding of working with international supply chains
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Basic understanding of financial and accounting reporting.

Sitting and / or alternate sitting and standing at will.
Keyboarding. Entering text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard.
Speaking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing Requirements. The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and / or other sounds. (i.e., in person speech, telephone, computer, etc.)
Near Visual Acuity. Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., use of computers.)
