Requirements And Responsibilities
- Bring forward thinking and innovation that will leverage new Engineering and Construction technologies along with the latest materials in the industry.
- Staying up with industry advancements will drive greater efficiencies, cost reduction and speed to market.
- Provide plan guidance for OSP Engineering and Construction for Tillman’s fiber build.
- Evaluate all Material and Equipment to ensure the best value and highest quality products are used.
- Support Market by tracking project objectives, resource loading, and timelines and work with Market Manager on continuous improvement initiatives and oversee process improvement teams.
- Communicate project status reports to the executive leadership team including risk assessments and mitigation plans.
- Manage fast track, large-scale multifaceted telecommunications projects with emphasis on FTTH.
- Manage daily calls and deliverables from multiple vendors to review projected forecasts for the day/week for construction starts, completions and rejections.
- Oversee that adequate staffing levels are always in place.
- Report project status against commitments, resolve conflicts and drive issue resolution with customer and all stakeholders
- Own financial accountability across all individual and collection of assigned projects.
- Escalate issues through internal lines of business and with customer management hierarchy.
- Continually evaluate Build methods and procedures and recommend improvements.
- Present information and presentations as expert network architecture, construction methodologies, design strategies.
- Communicate with both C-Suite and Investor audiences.
- Up to date knowledge of telecommunications technologies and trends.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 5 years’ experience in telecom projects including construction and project management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices and procedures, including underground, buried and aerial construction of copper and fiber facilities, central office configurations and routing.
- Knowledgeable and able to work in appropriate systems and Microsoft Office.
- Expert level understanding of Telecommunications fiber network architectures.
- Ability to present and clearly communicate to a variety of audiences.
- Financial analysis and budgeting skills, P&L experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company insurance policy.
- Local to Market - will travel to sites as needed.
- Experience with various municipalities including all Planning, Zoning, Permitting and Site Development requirements preferred.
- Must understand quality standards and perform in-process checks.
- Experience in wireless, telecommunications, construction, and/or public utility is preferred.
- Project Management experience required.
- Possess satisfactory written/reading communication skills and be adaptable to changing environments.
- Ability to use MS Project and other project management tools.
- Experience using technology to remotely monitor construction progress.
