Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our fast-paced estate planning law firm. The successful candidate will work closely with a senior attorney to develop and implement estate plans that meet client’s unique needs and goals. This position involves drafting estate planning documents, providing legal advice, and representing clients in probate and trust administration matters.

Key Responsibilities:
- Document Preparation and Review:
- Draft, review, and revise estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
- Ensure all documents comply with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Legal Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough legal research on estate planning issues and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
- Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for estate planning implications.
- Probate and Trust Administration:
- Assist clients with the probate process, including filing necessary court documents and representing clients in probate court.
- Administer trusts and guide clients through the trust administration process.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and guidance.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide clear, comprehensive legal advice.
- Collaboration and Team Support:
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff within the firm.
- Participate in firm meetings, continuing legal education, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and estate planning software.
