Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately using POS systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their purchases.
• Upsell products and services to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all supplies are stocked.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in cash register operations.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during the transaction process.
• Assist in training new cashiers and supervising their performance as needed.
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate pricing and change is given.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of retail math and basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is advantageous.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls effectively.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as it enhances communication with diverse customers.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
