Job Summary
The Food Preparation Worker plays a crucial role in the kitchen, assisting in the preparation of meals and ensuring that food is handled safely and efficiently. Duties

• Assist in the preparation of various food items according to established recipes and menu plans.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, and ovens safely and effectively.
• Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
• Collaborate with dietary aides to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management.
• Participate in training sessions related to food safety practices.

Skills

• Proficient in food preparation techniques, including chopping, slicing, and cooking methods.
