Responsibilities
- Gently bathe and dry pets, ensuring their cleanliness and comfort.
- Brush and groom pets as needed, addressing any matting or tangles in their fur.
- Maintain a clean and organized bathing area, including the proper sanitization of tools and equipment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of pets during bathing sessions, reporting any concerns to the management team.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and care requirements.
- Assist in handling pets safely during grooming procedures to ensure a positive experience for both the animal and the bather.
- Support the overall operations of the facility by performing additional tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred; experience as a kennel assistant or veterinary technician is a plus.
- Strong understanding of dog handling techniques and animal behavior.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Knowledge of basic grooming practices is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided.
