What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Staff position at Tilted Silo Bar and Grill?
Duties:
- Food preparation and cooking for to-go orders and restaurant orders
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Assist with receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with customer inquiries and requests
Experience:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or culinary role is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with bussing tables or working in a fast-paced environment is a plus
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper hygiene practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively work with team members and interact with customers
