Position : Store Picker
Work Location : San Clemente CA 92673
Pay : $18.50 / hr on W2
Duration : 3 Months
Shift : 2nd Shift 4pm.
TuesFriday 4pm12 : 30am and Saturday 10am3pm.
Dress Code : Warm and thick clothes shoes / Steel Toe shoes as required
Job Description :
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OT.
Must come dressed to work in the cold environment and READ ENGLISH.
Must be able to do the following :
They must be able to learn how and use a scan gun
Read English and understand the item that is being asked for.
Must be able to count and understand quantities.
They also need to be able to be lift Bins at least 20lbs.
Wrap pallets and move them with a pallet jack.
Move quickly around the floor.

The Store Picking role is responsible for receiving produce and raw foods assembling shipping labeling and / or packaging foods to customers using manual assembly and equipment. Must be able to work in all temperaturecontrolled environments. Follows all safety and health standards.
Objectives
Selects and packages products for shipment based on customer orders.
Uses technology including handheld devices to sort scan and prepare orders.
Surveys product for possible damage or defects before shipment.
May be training to do a bigger job work in a variety of areas conveyor / assembly lines receiving
shipping inventory and other processes independently. The duties may be routine from week to week but there is some variety of experiences to learn more or move up in the business.
Operates or can operate multiple IT equipment (approximately 50% of total equipment) within at least 2 departments
Package kits following prescribed processes and procedures. Deviation from normal processes must be approved
Rotate and check food ingredients for freshness. May receive products and verify the accuracy of tthe delivery. May be required to sanitize items and ensure accurate traceability methods are followed
Keep work area / assembly clean demonstrating cleanasyougo practices prepare and understand a variety of routine paperwork associated with food preparation packaging labeling and controls.
Ensures all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed and may champion the GMP processes. At times they may be assigned to other areas other than where they normally work In coordination with the team leader identifies issues with the product Food Safety Quality or equipment escalate matters to other departments or higher levels when needed
Skills / Experience :
At least 6 months experience working in a food manufacturing environment applying common processes procedures and equipment.
Experience applying and enforcing routine Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in a chilled food environment is essential.
Knowledge of quality assurance practices
Experience / Education :
General high school degree / GED or equivalent preferred
Ability to follow all appropriate safety standards in food production
Knowledge of basic math and reading comprehension skills
Must be 18 or older to apply as required for machinery and / or equipment utilization
