Position Summary:
We are seeking a Project Superintendent to join our team. As the primary point of leadership in the field you will serve a critical role with delivering the execution and timely completion of construction in the field, holding safety as a top priority for all trades, and ensuring quality workmanship to project drawings and specifications. You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful project completion that is on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, manage and nurture relationships with Owner, Architect and Subcontractors.
- Coordinate with Project Manager the mobilization and demobilization of the project.
- Maintain the progress of the work in accordance with the construction schedule.
- Regularly update Owner and Design Team on progress and status of the work.
- Enforce project quality standards and provide written documentation to Director of Operations.
You will ideally have previous experience as the lead superintendent on ground up / renovations of K-12 / Higher Education projects during all phases of construction, from dirt work to punch-out.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years’ experience as a project superintendent with a general contractor.
- Current OSHA 30 cert. preferred or ability to
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of all trades of construction.
- Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Office, and other software necessary to perform the job.
- Highly motivated individual with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Physical exertion including long periods of standing and walking over rough or uneven surfaces, crouching, climbing, and lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Essential Physical Requirements:
You must be able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders frequently, with the ability to walk on uneven ground and work above ground on scaffolds. Standing for up to seven hours during an eight-hour shift is also expected. Requires the ability to maintain balance on uneven surfaces and scaffolding at various heights, ensuring safety in all work conditions. Good finger manipulation is essential to handle tools effectively and operate equipment. Team members must be able to carry and use hand tools, climb on both light and heavy equipment, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance required for heavier items. Must have depth perception to navigate safely around hazards, and the ability to hear horns and sirens on moving equipment. Outdoor work in temperatures from 25 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit is also required.
