What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assisted Living Coordinator position at Timber Creek Village Assisted Living?
The Assisted living Coordinator is to work closely with the Assistant Administrator in planning, coordinate and implement the daily and monthly resident activities, events and programs for our facilities, in order to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and social needs and interests of our residents.
Responsibilities:
· Develop a fun and engaging seven day a week/monthly calendar of programs and activities by the 1st of every month. The activity calendar should be approved by Administration.
· Spending for activities, events/programs must all be kept with in monthly budget
· Act as a liaison between residents and Administration when conducting activities/programs for residents
· Maintain a safe activities program at all time, providing a smooth, efficient and positive outcome
· Work closely with Administration to coordinate space, equipment, and food for planned in house events/activities, religious services, and more.
- Roate on-Call with the Administrator and Assistant Administrator.
· Plan seasonal parties/activities as well as assist in decorating the common areas in the facility for appropriate season/holiday throughout the year
· Plan monthly birthday parties to honor residents
· Work cooperatively and communicate positively with other employees, management, residents and their families at all times regarding the benefits of our programming
· Attend all In Service training meetings as requested
· Communicate changes observed in residents health or behavior to Administration and Nurse
· Provide stories, commentary, pictures, etc directly to Administrator who will then post comments/pictures on social media. Make certain that any resident that you are taking photos of have signed (or their POA has signed) off on allowing photos to be placed on social media
· Eagerly encourage residents to attend and participate in the activities/events planned
Other Duties:
· Taking on call when needed to.
· Working any open shifts that are needed when you are on call
· Open shifts could be working as a CNA, cook, housekeeping, etc.
· Helping complete daily tasks as needed
Requirements:
· Previous experience caring for residents
· Ability to stand for long periods of time
· Ability to lift with no issues
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Maintain a good attitude towards residents, co-workers and families
· Have a creative mind
