What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician position at Timber Products Company Career Center?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Journeyman Electrician coordinates work with other Maintenance staff and Contractors. Works closely with production to continually improve safety, equipment productivity and performance. Accountable for the upkeep and proper functionality of all electrical equipment and systems in the assigned facility. Success in this role will be demonstrated by the continued successful completion of assigned tasks with minimized equipment downtime.
MAJOR TASKS:
- Work under the supervision of Maintenance Manager
- Ensure the proper functionality of all electrical equipment in the facility
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations
- Appropriate use and handling of electrical testing and repair equipment
- Maintain electrical parts inventories records and place orders for spare parts and equipment
- Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
- Read electrical prints
- Schedule routine checks for spotting any malfunctions, following all safety norms and standard operating procedures of working
- Coordinating work functions with co-workers and other organizational departments
- Experience in reading, understanding and troubleshooting complex PLC programs
- Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area
- Completing all tasks and general duties as assigned
