TP Logistics, a privately owned, progressive company specializing in handling flatbed freight, is looking for an experienced Maintenance professional for our Truck Maintenance department in Thomson, Georgia.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Supports the Company in meeting its goals and customer expectations by overseeing all TP Trucking maintenance activities for the Eastern United States. Ensures minimal truck downtime for maintenance and repairs. Oversees, coordinates, and assigns work schedules for maintenance equipment. Oversees preventative maintenance programs. Ensures a safe and efficient work environment. Reports directly to the Maintenance Superintendent.
MAJOR TASKS:
- Coordinates, schedules, and audits vehicle maintenance repairs to include preventative, mechanical and electrical repair to trucks and trailers.
- Ensures the work is completed in a timely manner and meets established quality standards.
- Maintains expectations for high-quality service repairs to minimize rework.
- Prioritizes and assigns work to support the Company in meeting customers’ needs.
- Ensures the Company meets all compliance and safety requirements with regard to trucking maintenance.
- Controls repair, inventory, and outside labor costs.
- Manages the maintenance shop facility, assuring a clean and safe working environment. Ensures the proper care, storage, and inventory of tools and equipment.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, etc.
- Responsible for supporting Company policies, procedures and safety program.
