Job Description
The Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient management of people, processes, and resources within the warehouse and shipping operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor warehouse/shipping employees to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Oversee maintenance of machinery and equipment to prevent downtime and optimize productivity.
- Collaborate with drivers to expedite product transfer between the warehouse and transportation hubs.
- Optimize workflow within shipping and receiving departments to meet customer demands.
- Manage data systems for inventory tracking, storage, and shipments.
- Ensure compliance with performance expectations through regular audits and inspections.
- Evaluate and improve warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety protocols, hygiene standards, and security measures.
- Develop and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform business decisions.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, business, finance, or a related field (additional experience may be considered in lieu of education).
- A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, driving change and fostering a positive work environment.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management procedures and best practices.
