Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Shipping / Receiving clerk is responsible for verifying and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments involving inventory.
MAJOR TASKS
- Ensure trucks are loaded accurately according to instructions from the customer, office personnel, or sales staff.
- Responsible for managing the FIFO Procedures established by the operations manager.
- In accordance with established procedures, accurately record items that are loaded and unloaded. Keeps track of inventory utilizing the company’s IT systems.
- Verify order details and collaborate closely with the warehouse team for precise fulfillment.
- Properly completing the shipping paperwork (bill of laden, packing slips etc.)
- Cycle Count, reporting inventory discrepancies, receiving inventory, monitoring inventory levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
