What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Unit Manager position at Timber Ridge School?
Unit Manager needed at Timber Ridge School, a 12-month licensed and fully approved residential treatment center. Our campus is located about 20 miles north of Winchester, Virginia. Our employees transform the lives of emotionally and behaviorally challenged adolescent boys between the ages of 10-21, with a goal of reuniting them successfully with their families and community. Our behavior support system has been newly-modified to include trauma-informed care to help establish a therapeutic, nurturing environment.
$2,000 sign on bonus $1,000 to be paid out after successful completion of probationary period (appx. 60 days from hire date) and $1,000 paid out after six months of employment in good standing.
Responsibilities include directing day to day operation of a residential unit in a treatment-oriented entity, to operate in a manner consistent with established best practices for substance abuse treatment and with the regulations of the Foundation Also, to establish and monitor unit routines and structure, personnel management, provide residential leadership while fostering a climate of teamwork.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field and 2 years of professional experience working with children, one year of which must have been in a residential facility for children. High school diploma or GED and 5 years’ professional experience working children with at least 2 years in a residential facility for children may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience with Medicaid practices and/or Substance Abuse highly desired.
