Timber Walk is looking for a Project Safety Coordinator for a project in Wabash County, Indiana.
Safety Coordinator, Construction
Staffing Type: 1099 Contract
Location: Wabash County, Indiana
Project Duration: Approximately 03/03/2025- 07/22/2026
Scope of Project: Onsite project safety oversite for a General Contractor
Type of Project: 100-million-dollar commercial construction project
Must be onsite 40-60 hours or more each week as needed.
This is not a remote position.
Qualifications:
· OSHA 510, Required
· BCSP, CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), Preferred
· BCSP, STS-C (Safety Trained Supervisor), Preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in safety and health from an accredited university or college, Preferred
· First Aid, CPR, AED, Blood Borne Pathogens certifications
· Training in Emergency Procedures
Experience:
· 3 years of hands-on construction safety experience on multi-employer commercial construction projects
· 3 years of safety planning and assisting multiple trades on a multi-employer project
· Steel erection safety experience
Other Skills and Abilities:
· Experience with and working knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction standards
· Ability to identify hazards in the field and offer recommendations to correct and improve those activities
· Willingness to work within General Contractors safety management system and framework
· Experience with conducting safety training and leading safety meetings
· Use of safety inspection software program(s) to complete required reports
· Ability to write and work with construction teams to build Pre-Task Plans or Job Hazard Analysis
· Able to meet deadlines, and work independently without direct supervision, as well as in a team
· Experience with Microsoft/Google applications and standard office equipment
· Willing to work in outdoor construction conditions
· Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Willingness to take and pass auxiliary safety classes and or certifications as needed
· A team player willing to work with project leadership, off-site safety leadership and field employees
· Willing to work overtime as needed
· Ability to pass background check and fitness for duty test
