What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Timberlake Hotel?
You'll love working at the Timberlake Hotel.....we make coming to work fun!! The housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in guest rooms and common areas of the hotel as well as restaurant and event center. Candidates will need to have a flexible schedule; shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedules may vary based on business needs. This position is seasonal, working March through October.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sorts, counts and carries linens.
- Makes beds.
- Replenishes supplies in each guest room as needed
- Moves furniture when cleaning.
- Cleans lobby, restrooms, stairways, elevator, hallways, exercise room and pool party rooms.
- Sweeps and scrubs floors.
- Vacuum carpets.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies.
- Dusts furniture.
- Washes walls and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels and sills.
- Empties all wastebaskets.
- Transports waste and trash to disposal area.
- Replenishes restroom supplies.
- Washes all dishes and replaces as needed.
- Refills linen carts at the end of each shift.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Employee must frequently reach above head and below waist, bend, stoop and squat. While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to stand, walk and use their wrists and hands. Must regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
