Description:
Essential Functions:
- Build loads for delivery
- Operates forklift as needed
- Keeps management aware of any delays or discrepancies
- Keeps lumber yard clean, well-organized and safe
Required Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, effectively present information to others one-on-one.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out simple one or two-step instructions
- Ability to follow understand and follow safety protocols
- Experience working in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
- Must take and pass drug test
- Work in outdoor / indoor conditions
Physical Requirements
- Lifting up to 40 lbs
- Bending to pick up materials
- Climbing onto forklift / ladder
- Extensive walking to inspect wall panels (13-acre yard)
- Safety shoes and appropriate PPE required
Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a lumber yard or similar.
- Forklift operation experience required.
