Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various framing techniques and construction methods. This role involves working with a variety of materials and tools to construct and restore structures, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The Framer will collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, metal, or other materials.
- Perform concrete forming tasks to create foundations or other structural elements.
- Execute trim carpentry work for finishing touches on projects.
- Restore existing structures by repairing damaged framing or siding.
- Utilize masonry skills for brick or block work as needed.
- Engage in metal stud framing for interior walls and partitions.
- Install siding and other exterior finishes to enhance building aesthetics.
- Operate power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks.
- Collaborate with construction management to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in framing, carpentry, or related construction fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with concrete forming, trim carpentry, masonry, metal stud framing, and siding installation is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using power tools and understanding of safety protocols in a construction setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is an advantage.
