Title : CDL Driver
Status : Hourly, Non-Exempt
Reports to : Division Manager
Job Summary : Responsible for the delivery of construction materials and equipment to various locations in a safe manner.
Primary Responsibilities
Drive equipment trucks to work locations and move them throughout the day as needed. Perform additional tasks as required to facilitate the continuous workflow of the construction crew.
Safely drive a commercial motor vehicle (tractor and trailer)
Value your safety, always comply with safety / operating policies and procedures
Work well independently, and in a team setting
Value a positive and respectful work environment
Complete deliveries on schedule and interface with colleagues effectively
Follow company safety policies and procedures
Work cooperatively and productively with supervisors and other associates to complete tasks
Completing assigned work in a timely manner
Perform and document pre and post trip inspections and complete all necessary paperwork
Must be able to accurately complete all driver logs and vehicle inspections.
Perform all other duties as assigned

Maintains a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.
Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communications skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.
Identifies training needs with assistance from managers. Develops a personal improvement plan and takes responsibility for learning and improving driving and safety skills regularly.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have a Class A CDL
Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
Adhere to DOT rules and regulations
Maintain all DOT-required licenses and documentation
Operate in a constant state of alertness, and a safe manner
Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields.
Must have a strong work ethic.
Must be able to handle a physical workload.
Able to lift and / or carry up to 25 lbs. and push / pull up to 50 lbs.
Must pass drug, background check, and pre-employment tests
Meet all company standards and DOT requirements for vehicles and drivers
Working Conditions
High-pressured, fast-paced environment with significant day-to-day duties. Large number of multiple steps in a complex system performed with accuracy and speed is essential to the successful completion of tasks.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2 - 4 years' experience in logistics preferred, but not required.
