Diesel Mechanic Timberline ONE serves as a parent to Timberline Landscaping, Timberline Trailcraft, Timberline Rock N Roll, Timberline Building Systems, and Timberline Fleet Systemsa 2021 Winner of Best Workplaces in Colorado Springs, celebrating over 40 years in business. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for all mechanical repair operations. Our fleet consists of Semi / Tandem trucks, Ford F-550s, Dodge Rams, and Isuzu NPRs. Additionally, we have associated tow-behind equipment consisting of air compressors, trailers, etc. Duties and responsibilities : Ability to run diagnostic tests on diesel engines, interpret the results, and offer suitable solutions Must be able to repair and replace vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts in accordance with the manufacturers required and recommended practices Must be able to test the drivability of repaired vehicles to gauge their performance Ability to inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions and steering Evaluate work orders and consult with customers to understand the tasks required Complete routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, brake checks, transmission fluid changes, HVAC service, and battery installations Maintain records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles Other duties as assigned Physical Demands & Work Environment : Occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 lbs. (ask for assistance when lifting more than 50 lbs.) Moderate noise level in the work environment This job is an indoor / outdoor job that will require exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, and odors. PPE is provided
