Treecare Technician
Front Range Arborists, a division of Timberline Landscaping, is an award-winning full-service tree care company serving Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas for more than 30 years. We offer a full range of services from tree pruning, removals, stump grinding, shrub trimming and tree spray applications.
Duties and responsibilities:?
o Primarily responsible for: site setup as per the Crew Leader's instructions, ensuring public safety around the job site, preparing tools, assisting with rigging, operating chipper and winch, and cleaning up debris
o Accountable for the daily preparation of trucks and equipment
o Support crew leaders by preparing trucks, gathering equipment, and leaving the shop within 15 minutes of arrival
o Assist in addressing basic customer questions and providing knowledgeable explanations based on personal qualifications
o Ensure the work site is clean, orderly and presentable during and upon completion
o Support crew leader and Climbers in completing jobs safely and on time, performing all assigned tasks
o Accountable for customer satisfaction for assigned work orders
o Proactively communicate and obtain permission from neighbors, if necessary, to access their property for work-related reasons
o Whenever possible, walk the job site with the crew leader and customer after completing the work to enhance customer service skills and knowledge
o Participate in weekly safety meetings
o Utilize training resources such as books, seminars, videos, and networking with colleagues to improve skills and personal growth
o Communicate with the crew leader regarding skills and development goals/needs to identify on-the-job learning and practice opportunities
o Report any crew member personnel issues to the crew leader and, if necessary, request a meeting with the Production Supervisor
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
o This position requires consistent lifting of up to 75 pounds and walking long distances daily
o Assist the Crew Leader and Climbers in completing work orders safely, efficiently, and in a manner that exceeds customer expectations without compromising quality
o Use personal protective equipment (PPE)
