What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Attendant position at Timberline?
Description
Assist lodge guests as requested; maintain high level of general cleanliness in lodge pool & public areas, including pool, sauna, laundry area, exercise room, stairwell, window glass and public bathrooms. Assist other areas of hotel as long as primary duties are on track for completion.
Requirements
- Maintain persistent cleanliness and appearance of order of swimming pool and hot tub facilities including: exercise room, sauna/laundry facilities, chalet wing restrooms and public pool restrooms.
- Maintain persistent cleanliness and order of pool vestibule area including emptying recycling, garbage, replenishing pool towels, and moving dirty pool towels to outgoing laundry bins.
- Wipe down wood and glass surfaces, polish wood and clean glass as needed.
- Sweeping and mopping west end stairwell and vacuuming of chalet wing public hallway carpet as needed.
- Complete assigned tasks from daily MOD walkthrough.
- Maintain high level of lodge general cleanliness.
- Have detailed understanding of how Kai-Vac works and know how to operate it.
- Assist Housekeeping department as needed.
- Identify maintenance issues and report any to supervisors or directly to maintenance.
- Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace.
- Present a professional, quality image at all times.
- Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present.
- Exercise sound judgment and awareness regarding language, behavior, and dress and grooming.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be detail oriented with ability to set and meet high customer service and hotel cleanliness standards.
- Must use proper etiquette while conversing with guests.
- Must have knowledge of all resort services.
- Must know and follow all proper employee and housekeeping procedures.
- Must complete BBP training.
- Must be able to work independently while also being a team player.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- ·Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting and kneeling.
- Must be able to work in tight spaces.
- Must be able to work on feet, stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
- Must be able to keep up with pace of the department.
- Must be able to walk in snow, icy, uneven and slippery conditions.
- Must be able to shovel all types of snow in any weather for extended periods of time.
